The SRGHA Committee is responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of the allotment site, helping to ensure it remains well maintained, welcoming, and beneficial for all members.
The committee’s responsibilities include:
Managing plot allocations and the waiting list
Monitoring plot cultivation and site standards
Overseeing the allotment shed and the sale of supplies to members, including compost, fertilisers, canes, and other gardening essentials
Coordinating bulk orders for seeds, potatoes, and other seasonal items to secure good value from suppliers
Organising maintenance and improvement works around the site
Supporting communication between plot holders and the association
Promoting a positive and respectful allotment community
The committee is made up of volunteers who work to support and improve the allotments for all members.

The Trustees are responsible for ensuring that the allotment land is managed and maintained in accordance with the legal requirements and covenants attached to the site.
Their primary duty is to protect the long-term use of the land for horticultural purposes, in line with the conditions set out by the Land Registry. This includes overseeing the proper use of the site, ensuring compliance with any covenants or legal obligations, and safeguarding the allotments for current and future plot holders.
The Trustees work alongside the committee to help ensure the allotment site continues to operate in a responsible, sustainable, and lawful manner.
