Membership

We offer two types of membership within the association:

Association Membership

Association Members can take advantage of the allotment shed sales, including access to gardening supplies such as compost, fertilisers, canes, and other seasonal items. Members are also able to join in with any bulk orders organised by the association for seeds, potatoes, onion sets, and similar products, helping secure good value from suppliers.  Association Members are welcome to attend social events and activities organised by the association throughout the year.  To join as an Association Member please contact us at srgha-1957@outlook.com.

The membership fee to join the association is £2 for 2026.

Plot Holder Membership

Interested in growing your own vegetables, flowers or produce? You can apply for an allotment plot with the Sandiacre and Risley Garden Holders’ Association.

Plots are popular and demand is often high, so new applicants are added to a waiting list. Before applying, please make sure you have the time and commitment to keep your plot cultivated, tidy and well maintained, including paths.

All new plot holders complete a probationary year. During this time, and throughout your tenancy, plots are inspected regularly to make sure they are being cultivated in line with Association rules.

Plot sizes and rents

We offer full and half plots, which are allocated as they become available. Annual rents are currently:

·       Half Plot – £20

·       Full Plot – £40

Rents are reviewed each year, and a small annual increase may be applied to cover rising fixed costs.

Eligibility

To become a plot holder, applicants must live within the parishes of Sandiacre or Risley. If you live outside these parishes, we’re unfortunately unable to add you to the waiting list.

How to Apply

To join the waiting list, please download and complete the application form below, indicating your preferred plot size.

Alternatively, you can email srgha-1957@outlook.com and include all the information requested on the form. Once received, we will add you to the waiting list and contact you when a suitable plot becomes available.
